What is CrossWorks?
Crossworks is a nonprofit, 501c3 organization that since 1999 has served the people of Nash, Edgecombe, and the surrounding counties.
Our Mission
To prevent, reduce, or eliminate chronic diseases, health disparities
and hunger through nutrition and health education, community outreach and screening services. Our goals are to:
- Encourage people to move toward healthy lifestyles
- Improve self-management skills of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer
- Provide services aimed at dispelling hunger and its root cause—unemployment
- Seek food, funds, and resources to aid emergency food providers
- To reach the community with the life giving message of good nutrition and various forms of nutritional
services that will improve the health and well-being of our community
- To help families that suffer from lack of food and joblessness to not only acquire good food,
but to also gain access to jobs and a future of economic independence through various forms of
educational, self-help and biblical teachings
