What is Crossworks?

Crossworks is a nonprofit, 501c3 organization that since 1999 has served the people of Nash, Edgecombe, and the surrounding counties.

Our Mission

Crossworks is a North Carolina faith-based non-profit that provides health and nutrition education to fight chronic disease in Nash, Edgecombe and the surrounding area. Our goals are to:

  • Encourage people to move toward healthy lifestyles
  • Improve self-management skills of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer
  • Provide services aimed at dispelling hunger and its root cause—unemployment
  • Seek food, funds, and resources to aid emergency food providers
  • To reach the community with the life giving message of good nutrition and various forms of nutritional services that will improve the health and well-being of our community
  • To help families that suffer from lack of food and joblessness to not only acquire good food, but to also gain access to jobs and a future of economic independence through various forms of educational, self-help and biblical teachings

Crossworks is proud of its record of accomplishments - more than 20,000 individuals served in the Rocky Mount community since 1999. More than likely, someone you know has been touched by Crossworks in some special way. Our services are rendered in a compassionate way by experienced, trained, dependable, and caring people.

Our revenue is derived from grants, individual donations, government agencies, corporations, fees for services, and special events. We ask your participation in this year's special event, the 2012 Fun Run for Charities which is currently underway.
