For the past six years, the Heritage Hospital Development Council has provided funding to local community agencies at its annual Community Benefits Grants Reception. This year, eight agencies were given a total of $89,230, $5000 of which was awarded to Crossworks for our work in diabetes self-management through nutrition.
This year Crossworks raised $2,617.00 in the Reach Out Rocky Mount Fun Run for Charities event that took place during April and May, thanks to all of our generous friends and supporters!"
Winston-Salem, NC — The Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust announces $150,000 in new grant awards to 11 small organizations for capacity building efforts throughout North Carolina. The Trust kicked off the program with a gathering of the new grantees on July 13th in Cary, NC. These organizations, representing nine counties, received one-year grants to increase their ability to accomplish their missions as community-based partners serving financially needy residents in their communities. Debra G. Long was honored by the Susan G. Komen for the Cure North Carolina Triangle affiliate1. She was recognized in March 2007 as the local HERO during the BMW Ultimate Drive held in Raleigh, NC for outstanding contribution in the area of increasing breast cancer awareness.
