We will provide paid job training for inexperienced men and women seeking skills and/or employment in foodservice, catering and the retail operation of a produce market. This is to enable these individuals to become more self-confident, self-reliant and financially independent. Salvageable fresh goods are also donated to other tax-exempt organizations. Youth volunteers also receive mentoring in preparation for the job market. |

We will gather and share information regarding all local, state and national food/nutrition programs and services. We will form and maintain a database of these programs for other agencies to access as needed. We will provide food donations and financial support directly to organizations that offer temporary and/or ongoing types of feeding programs for needy individuals and families. We will work with local groups to provide technical assistance in setting up emergency and other types of feeding programs. Types of assistance may include, but will not be limited to, menu planning, obtaining resources, and making application to the North Carolina Food Bank. |
